Mind Body Integration is a therapeutic modality involving the simultaneous participation of both psychotherapist (Dr. Richard Schulman) and body therapist (Samantha Haynes LMT, NMT) in the session to help a patient release and process deep emotional issues. The psychotherapist is responsible for the dialogue and processing of the emotional material, while the body therapist monitors the bodily reactions to the material and facilitates the release of the emotion trapped within the body.

We are all hardwired the same, meaning we all have the same innate responses to emotions. When we experience certain negative emotions regularly it can create emotional holding patterns, which cause physical pain and dis-ease in the body.  Samantha is trained to recognize those micro reactions to emotions and chronic holding patterns as Dr. Schulman accesses the psychological trauma. They then can relate it to where the body tends to hold the tension related to the trauma.  Using a multitude of different modalities Dr. Shulman and Samantha create exit points so that the emotions can effectively unwind from the body and a safe space to integrate the healing process.
